It features four XD linear AF motors with internal focus, Optical SteadyShot stabilization, and a sliding focus ring for quick AF/MF switching. Practical controls include a focus range limiter, focus-hold buttons, and an aperture ring with de-click switch. Optical treatments—Nano AR Coating II and fluorine coating—improve clarity and durability, while dust- and moisture-resistant construction ensures reliability in the field.
